Police are currently investigating a serious assault that occurred at the Chelmsford railway station and have released CCTV images of a man believed to have information relevant to the case. On the evening of October 14, 2022, a man was captured on camera dragging a woman through the ticket barriers before violently kicking her in the head and leaving her unconscious in the ticket hall.
Eyewitnesses at the station called for medical assistance for the victim and the man was seen fleeing the location. The investigation is ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the man in the CCTV images to come forward.
The British Transport Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual seen in the footage and urge anyone with information to contact them by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 and referencing case number 2200106282.
