The police are currently investigating a stabbing that occurred in Walthamstow on September 28, 2022 and are seeking to identify a male suspect as part of their investigation. The incident took place at around noon on Forest Road, E17, where the victim, a man in his 20s, was standing in the road near the junction with Spruce Hills Road.
According to reports, the victim was approached by the suspect and a brief verbal altercation ensued. It was at this point that the victim was stabbed by the suspect, who then fled the scene. Police officers on patrol in the area came across the victim and immediately called for medical assistance from the London Ambulance Service. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released.
Detective Constable India Allen, from the North East Command Unit responsible for policing Walthamstow, has stated that the police have undertaken several lines of inquiry in an attempt to identify the suspect, but have so far been unsuccessful. As a result, they are now turning to the public for assistance.
In a statement, Detective Constable Allen said, “We have undertaken several lines of enquiry in an attempt to identify the suspect in this stabbing without success so we are now asking the public to assist us. Do you recognize this male? Can you provide any information which could help us locate him? If you can, please get in contact with police immediately.”
