On the evening of January 4, a shocking incident occurred on Willesden High Road in the north west region of London. A building’s scaffolding collapsed and fell onto a London bus that was waiting at a stop located between Dudden Hill Lane and Hawthrown Road. Pictures from the scene show the precarious position of the scaffolding, which appeared to be balanced precariously on top of the bus.

In response to the incident, authorities promptly closed off the affected section of Willesden High Road and dispatched fire crews and police to secure the area and address the situation. Traffic service Inrix reported that drivers were experiencing delays in the area, and several bus routes were disrupted by the road closure. These routes included 52, 98, 260, 266, 302, and 460.

It is fortunate that no injuries were reported in connection with the collapse of the scaffolding. However, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proper safety measures and inspections in the construction industry. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation, and it is not yet clear if any individuals or entities will be held responsible.
