A man who pretended to be a taxi driver before kidnapping a woman in Central London has now been jailed. On the 8th of May 2017 a 33 year old Isaac Mabwa was driving a hire car when he stopped and offered a woman a lift home.
The victim a 25-year-old woman thought Issac was a taxi driver so she got in the car, She noticed that something was wrong when Issac started driving in the opposite direction from her home. She tried escaping multiple times but Isaac couldn’t let her. She sent her location to her friend and her boyfriend and told them what was happening.
After about 1 and half hours he stopped the car at an unlit carpark, the victim began screaming, her screams were heard by people near by. She managed to escape. Isaac Mabwa was arrested a short time later and was charged for the offences in April 2020. He has now been sentenced to 9 years imprisonment.
