A 24-year-old man from Hackney has been jailed after sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. In September a teenage girl told the authorities that she was sexually assaulted and forced to sleep with Saico Djop since she was 12 years old.
It’s reported that Saico Djop would threaten the victim to get her to do whatever he wanted. According to Detective Constable Natasha, Saico Djop controlled the victim’s access to food, money and clothing, leaving her desperate and at his mercy.
After knowing that the victim had reported the offences to the police, he tried to flee to Portugal but was arrested at Eurostar terminal in London. He pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced to nine years imprisonment.
