A man has been convicted of stalking a woman in west London.
Alexander Rodrigo Kaliszewski, 34 (17.01.87), of Longridge Road, Kensington and Chelsea appeared at City of London Magistrates Court on Thursday, 16 December where he pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm/distress.
He was released on bail to next appear at the same court on Friday, 14 January 2022.
Kaliszewski was arrested and charged on Friday, 22 November with stalking involving serious alarm/distress. He was released on bail
From Sunday, 26 January to Tuesday, 4 August 2020, Kaliszewski continually messaged the victim, a woman aged 20s, on social media. He also engineered meeting her near to her home on a number of occasions.
Kaliszewski was not known to the victim.
Detective Constable Katie Newton said: “The fact that the victim did not know the defendant made this unwanted contact even more sinister and disturbing.
“Women and girls have right to feel safe online and in public and should not be subjected to forced contact from men they either don’t know, or with whom they don’t wish to engage.
“I hope the defendant’s admission of guilt brings the victim a measure of comfort, at the very least it will prevent the added pressure of going to trial.”
