On Friday evening, a devastating tragedy occurred in Peckham Rye Park, South London, when a victim was found by police officers at approximately 8:30pm.
Despite the efforts of ambulance crews, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene around half an hour later. Our hearts go out to the victim’s loved ones during this difficult time, and we offer our sincere condolences. The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the incident and have yet to make any arrests.
A spokesperson for the force stated that a crime scene is in place and inquiries are ongoing. The next of kin of the victim have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
